World Championship
From September 16-22, the best SUP and prone paddlers in the world will gather in Copenhagen to race for world championship titles! The athletes will compete in sprint, long distance, technical racing and team relay.
Paddle Festival
The event will be wrapped up in a festive atmosphere, as Copenhagen Paddle Festival will take place alongside the competitions. The festival will be filled with entertainment and activities for all ages and have a focus on sustainability.
Copenhagen SUP
In this huge mass-participation event we will invite recreational paddlers at all levels to paddle at the same course and venue as the worlds best athletes. The event is divided into two distances, giving everybody a chance to participate..

We will focus on sustainability
The event aims to create a strong focus on sustainability. The main venue at Søren Kierkegaards Plads will be transformed into a Sustainable Village with exhibitions and activities for all ages!
The sport of SUP and prone paddleboarding
SUP and prone paddleboarding are versatile sports with a very low entry level. You can practice SUP and prone paddleboarding on all types of water and either on a recreational or elite level.
Surf & SUP Danmark
Surf & SUP Danmark is the national governing body for surfing and SUP in Denmark. As the organizers behind the event, our vision is to create an exceptional world championship and to include the local community simultaneously. This has all come together as Copenhagen Paddle Festival.
International Surfing Association (ISA)
The ISA, founded in 1964, is recognized by the International Olympic Committee as the World Governing Authority for Surfing and SUP. This is the second time that the ISA and Surf & SUP Danmark join forces to create an extraordinary event.
